mail program settings

There are two ways of setting up your email program, an (unsecure) standard way and a secure way called SSL.

The standard way:

Incoming mail servername: mail.yourdomain.
so if your domain is called zebrahosting.nl, it becomes mail.zebrahosting.nl)

Outgoing mail servername: mail.yourdomain.
so if your domain is called zebrahosting.nl, it becomes mail.zebrahosting.nl)

Username: your email addres

Password: the one that belongs to your email address.

Port for POP: 110 (standard)

Port for IMAP: 143 (standard)

Port for SMTP: 25 (standard or if your ISP blocks it try port 27)

Make sure you keep TLS and SSL off!

The secure way:

Incoming mail servername: securemail.zebrahosting.nl

Outgoing mail servername: securemail.zebrahosting.nl

Username: your email addres

Password: the one that belongs to your email address.

Port for POP: 995 (standard)

Port for IMAP: 993 (standard)

Port for SMTP: 465

Make sure you switch SSL on and TLS off
